Postings for Message Matters as Frame hires

Glasgow agency Frame has hired Darryl Broadfoot, a former chief football writer at The Herald.

He will join as a partner from his role as head of communications and corporate affairs at the SFA.

He is expected to retain his PR and communications link to the SFA. Frame has also hired Patrick Baxter from The Big Partnership.

Message Matters, the strategic communications business based in Edinburgh, has recruited two associates as it moves into its sixth year of operation.

Gareth Brown joins from the UK Government, having previously worked for the SDLP in Northern Ireland and been acting chief executive of the Scottish Youth Parliament.

Louise Robertson joins from Arts & Business Scotland, having worked for 15 years in broadcast journalism and in public relations and public affairs roles for the League Against Cruel Sports, OneKind and Thompsons Solicitors.

They join founding directors Peter Duncan and Andy Maciver, together with associate Kirsty Leiper and senior counsel Marco Biagi and Tom Harris.

Mr Maciver said: “This is, without question, our strongest team to date.

“We’re very satisfied as we celebrate five years of trading that we have never been better positioned to offer existing and new clients the service they have come to expect since 2012.”
