Highland bakery secures £120,000 deal with Lidl

Lewis MacleanMaclean’s Highland Bakery will supply its oatcake bites to supermarket chain Lidl in a deal worth more than £120,000.

Forres-based Maclean’s is a new supplier for Lidl and the deal will see its products sold across all of the chain’s 92 stores in Scotland, adding further to its range of Scottish range. 

Paul McQuade, head of food buying for Lidl in Scotland, said: “At Lidl we are passionate about working with local suppliers.” 

Lewis Maclean, managing director of Maclean’s Highland Bakery, said: “From the start, Lidl have always worked with integrity and have understood our needs and the restrictions of working with us as a small business”
