Glasgow succeeds Young

Dunedin Canmore hires housing director

Alan GlasgowDunedin Canmore, one of Scotland’s largest housing associations, has appointed Alan Glasgow as its housing director.

Mr Glasgow succeeds Hazel Young, who took over as managing director of the Edinburgh-based association, which is part of Wheatley Group, last year.

After starting his 22-year career at Glasgow City Council, he worked for Glasgow Housing Association – in roles including housing officer and performance co-ordinator – for 10 years before moving to Wheatley Group’s assurance team.

Most recently he was head of housing at West Lothian Housing Partnership and Barony.

In his new role he will oversee the teams delivering housing services to Dunedin Canmore tenants in communities across Edinburgh, Fife and the Lothians.

He said: “Our continuing £110 million investment, which will see 700 new homes built over the next five years, will mean delivering a range of housing services to new customers. We’ll also invest heavily in improvements for customers in our existing homes.”

Ms Young said: “Alan’s wealth of experience makes him the ideal candidate to lead Dunedin Canmore’s housing teams.

“He is a fantastic leader who is committed to driving up standards and making our tenants’ homes, lives and communities better. We’re delighted to welcome Alan to the team.”
