Jones joins team

Asia head for comms agency CopyLab

Kevin JonesCopylab, the investment and communications agency, has appointed Kevin Jones as regional chief executive for its emerging Asian business.

The company was the first of its kind in the Asian market when launched in early 2016. 

Mr Jones will be responsible for the strategic development of the Copylab business across the Asia Pacific with a specific focus on Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Australia.

Based in Singapore he will report directly to Ross Hunter, founder and CEO of Copylab.

Mr Jones joins Copylab from MCIS Insurance Berhad where as CEO he was responsible for the strategy and management of its life & general insurance businesses in Malaysia.

Prior to this, he was the CEO of CIMB Aviva Assurance (Malaysia), managing director of Aviva (Singapore) and regional vice president (Singapore) of AIG. Between 1997 and 2001, he was head of IFA sales for Prudential Assurance in the UK. 

Mr Hunter said: “Kevin is a renowned senior executive with extensive experience in growing financial services businesses in Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.

“We have already made significant strides in Asia and have seen strong demand from clients seeking high-quality financial communications.

“A respected senior team in the region enables us to deliver creative investment expertise locally. It also allows us to add significant value for our existing clients, more than half of which are large multi-nationals and who are looking for a strong, trusted partner in Asia.”
