CEO asks for suggestions
Twitter likely to introduce edit button
Twitter users look like getting the opportunity to edit their Tweets after they have been posted.
Chief executive Jack Dorsey asked users what they most wanted from the social network and the overwhelming response was the ability to make changes and corrections.
Facebook and Instagram subscribers have been able to do this for some time and Twitter looks like following suit.
In a tweet to his four million followers, Dorsey asked: “What’s the most important thing you want to see Twitter improve or create in 2017?”
After being inundated with responses he indicated that he would be looking at how best to implement the feature.
He asked if users wanted a “five minute window” to edit mistakes or the ability to edit at any time.
Some users said the ability to see earlier versions of tweets should be retained, along with better ways of dealing with trolls, remove bots and improve how conversations appear..
