The Queen is stepping down as patron of 25 organisations at the end of this year (click for more)

The patronages, include the NSPCC, Save the Children, Barnardo’s, the Rugby Football Union, and the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Association.

The Queen, who is 90, is royal patron of more than 600 bodies –  of which she has served 433 since 1952.

Buckingham Palace said the announcement was the start of a process that would see patronages passed on to other Royal Family members in the coming months.
