Investment for cocktail deliverer

Tipple Box secures funding from Kelvin Capital

tipple-box-founder-sonny-charlesTipple Box, the Edinburgh based cocktail and craft spirit delivery firm, has secured a six-figure investment through business angel group Kelvin Capital.

The investment will drive the company’s expansion, including the introduction of new products and hiring staff.

Established in 2014 partners with independent spirit and ingredient suppliers alongside the company’s branded sugar syrups and liqueurs.

With almost 10,000 boxes delivered across the UK to-date, Tipple Box has more than tripled the sales of its first year of trading during the company’s second year.

Founder Sonny Charles said: “This vital investment will allow us to take Tipple Box to the next level as we prepare for expansion and I know we can build something extraordinary.”

Director of Kelvin Capital Angus Hay said: “Our investors recognised Sonny’s talent and enthusiasm.

There is no doubt that his success so far in creating the Tipple Box brand and concept and gaining a loyal customer base through subscriptions and sales through major online retailers such as John Lewis and NOTHS for one-off novel gifts is impressive.

“We are excited about the future for the company and will look forward to watching it grow.”
