Middle East office pays dividends
20/20 stages high profile ball in Dubai
The company is producing the event on 17 November following its work on high profile international events in the region.
This hugely popular Scottish Association event, compered by industry veteran and GlobalScot John Deykin, will host more than 500 guests including the Consulate-General from the British Embassy along with Heads of the Irish Society, Welsh Social Club and St George’s Society.
Bringing an added visual element, never before seen at the annual event, 20/20 Productions has produced a short introduction film.
Using donated footage from Visit Scotland the short film will kick off proceedings and explore the theme of “So you think you know Scotland?”. There will also be a live stream screen, for which 20/20 Productions will provide equipment, professional crew, high quality sound system and stage lighting.
Throughout the event, entertainment will come in the form of ‘flaming piper’ Duncan Knight (pictured) and Scottish Rock band Celtica, local Emirati break-dancers Swat Crew and the Highland Hotties and Ceilidh band Whisky Kiss.
The Scottish Association’s event coordinator, Sharon Milne Castell said 20/20 will introduce the latest digital audio visual equipment while ensuring the traditional and more formal elements of the historical event are maintained.
Craig Munro, senior producer at 20/20 Productions explains: “Since opening a Dubai office last year it has offered a great opportunity for the team to work with a long-established Society which has such a far-reaching cross-cultural ethos and spirit. We have a real affinity with this unique event and are excited to give it the 20/20 Productions treatment.”
