Scotland squad named for Autumn Tests

sport-rugbyScotland coach Vern Cotter has included five players from the English Premiership in the squad for the Autumn Tests.

Captain Greig Laidlaw, Moray Low, Duncan Taylor, Sean Maitland and Tim Visser will line-up for the matches against Australia, Argentina and Georgia.

Prop WP Nel, who has been in good form, is absent through injury, as is Edinburgh team mate Rory Sutherland. Nel managed to play most of the match against Harlequins but has been suffering with a neck strain.

Allan Dell is the only uncapped player receiving a call up.

Centre Huw Jones is included following his first cap in the second Test against Japan in the summer. Gloucester’s Matt Scott is left out.

Edinburgh back-row Magnus Bradbury and the Glasgow trio of centre Nick Grigg, wing Rory Hughes and scrum-half Ali Price have been included in the training group.

The Scots will play Australia on 12 November and Argentina on 19 November at Murrayfield. The match against Georgia on 26 November will be played at Rugby Park, Kilmarnock.
