Rural role at law firm

New partner at Gillespie Macandrew

murray-soutarLaw firm Gillespie Macandrew has appointed Murray Soutar as a partner to its land and rural business team. 

With offices in the capital, Glasgow and Perth this latest appointment takes the number of partners to 21. 

A native of Angus and a graduate of the University of Edinburgh, Mr Soutar (pictured) has worked with legal firms in Scotland and New Zealand.

Chief executive, Chris West said: “We have been watching Murray’s progress for some time and are delighted to welcome him to the business and look forward to his experience and expertise helping to drive our land and rural business team to even more success. 

“The firm has deep roots in the rural business community, representing around a million acres of rural, development and industrial land in Scotland.”
