Fintech firm expands

Cloud firm Beeks launches in Hong Kong

Gordon McArthurBeeks Financial Cloud, a Scotland-based global provider of financial cloud infrastructure, has expanded into Hong Kong, creating opportunities to reach clients and brokers in China.

The new location is Beeks’ eighth data centre worldwide and second in Asia, joining Equinix TY3 in Tokyo. This will allow Chinese brokers, banks, and trading firms to source and provide liquidity globally, plus expand the reach of international financial firms to transact business in China.

Gordon McArthur (pictured), chief executive, said: “We believe China represents a significant growth market for us, both in terms of securing new broking clients within China and enabling our existing clients to trade more effectively and securely in the Chinese market.”

This announcement follows the unveiling of its Network Operations Centre NOC) in Linwood.
