Founder looking for £80,000
Tipple Box seeks cocktail of crowdfund backers
Established in 2014, it provides cocktail kits to people’s homes and is raising money via Crowdcube to expand its product range.
Investors can provide between £10 and £10,000 in exchange for various rewards, ranging from cocktails for life to Class A shares and voting rights.
With almost 10,000 boxes delivered across the UK, Tipple Box has in the last nine months tripled sales in its first year of trading.
Founder Sonny Charles, a previous national spirits ambassador, has also received support from Scottish EDGE. He said: “I’ve grown Tipple Box almost by myself up until this point, but now it’s time to expand.
“We are still growing and I want to take Tipple Box to the next level as I know we can build something extraordinary.”
He raised £10,000 in pre-orders through an earlier crowdfund campaign and he built the business on his personal savings and a Princes Trust loan.
