Pair take up roles at Turcan Connell
Mr MacDonald (far left) has joined the private client firm as director of tax services and will be responsible for the development of its Tax Compliance team – one of the largest in Scotland’s professional services sector.
He joins from Big four accountancy firm, KMPG. Specialising in private client compliance and planning advice, he acts predominantly for high-net-worth clients, including entrepreneurs and owner managed businesses.
Turcan Connell has also appointed John Hume (above right) as a non-executive consultant.
A chartered accountant with particular experience of professional partnerships and owner-managed businesses, he is an adviser and non-executive director to a number of businesses and their owners, as well as a trustee and treasurer of various charities.
His remit involves advising on the firm’s financial strategy and performance, and chairing the audit & risk committee. He offers an external view of the firm and is contributing to the development of its strategy and future planning.
