Saltire Court on market

City financial centre offices up for sale

ShoosmithsSaltire Court in Edinburgh’s financial district has been put on the market by its Middle East owner with an asking price of £69 million.

Abu Dhabi Investment Authority is offloading the 200,000 square feet of Grade A space overlooking Princes Gardens after 23 years under its ownership.

The sovereign wealth fund paid Scottish Metropolitan Properties £53.1m for the Castl Terrace building in 1993, but is now said to be focusing on assets valued at £200m or more.

Tenants include law firm Shoosmiths (pictured), fund manager Martin Currie, accountancy firms Deliotte and KPMG and the investment manager Quilter Cheviot.

The sale is being handled by Cushman & Wakefield which reports strong early interest in the property.
