Carr to head up Blackadders in Glasgow

stephanie-carrStephanie Carr has been appointed head of the Glasgow office of solicitors’ practice Blackadders.

Ms Carr will take up the role after 15 years with Harper Macleod where she served as a partner in the insolvency department specialising in contentious personal and corporate insolvency law.

With many years’ experience in commercial litigation and debt recovery, Ms Carr is a member of the Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers (ARDL) and is accredited as a specialist in Insolvency Law by the Law Society of Scotland.

Her appointment underlines Blackadders’ commitment to growing its presence in Glasgow and the west of Scotland. The firm acquired Glasgow law practice Boyle Shaughnessy in April, in addition to opening offices in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Perth.

The firm now has 26 partners and more than 250 staff across the country.

Ms Carr said: “It’s an exciting time of growth for the firm. My new role will be focused on building on the diverse client base already established here.”

Johnston Clark, managing partner, said: “Recruiting Stephanie is a coup and a further statement of intent about our intention to strengthen our presence in Scotland’s major cities.”
