SengS signs £500,000 North Sea contracts

Murray KerrEngineering and services firm SengS has been awarded North Sea contracts worth £500,000 as the business continues to capitalise on opportunities presented by the low oil price.

The Ellon-based company, which provides engineering, testing, control and hydraulic systems and tooling to the energy industry, has agreed deals with two operators and two international service companies in the past three months.

Murray Kerr, founder and managing director of SengS, said: “Our focus remains very much on the North Sea and these latest project awards clearly indicate that there are still opportunities for proactive companies with the right approach.

“Even in the current climate we are continuing to attract and retain significant oil and gas businesses.”

The company has invested more than £3.5million over the past two years in developing its 9,817 sq ft test facility.

Established in 2012 and currently employing 17 people, SengS has delivered more than 400 projects across multiple disciplines for clients in the North Sea, Scandinavia, the Middle East and North Africa.
