Bancon secures £20m of construction work

Gavin CurrieBancon Group has been awarded contracts worth £20.5 million in the public and private sectors.

The construction division of the Aberdeenshire-based group has secured building work from Aberdeen City Council, GAMA Aviation and First Construction.

Bancon Construction will build 80 affordable homes at Manor Walk for the city council. 

Work has already begun on the construction of a hangar and reception centre for GAMA Aviation at Aberdeen Airport.

The development of a new restaurant area in the former E&M’s building on Aberdeen’s Union Street will get under way shortly on behalf of First Construction.

The firm is also building of a car showroom for a car dealer. 

Gavin Currie, managing director of Bancon Construction, said: “With our strengthened team and these wins under our belt, we are well on-track to meeting our growth plans for the next five years.”
