Restructuring at legal firm
Wells takes new role as Boyd restructures
Boyd Legal Solicitors has appointed Kerry Wells (pictured) as property sales director and parted company with its mortgage referral conveyancing team as it focuses on re-establishing its estate agency business.
Managing director Peter Boyd said high volume conveyancing did not fit with the company’s aims. Director Mark Hendrie has also left the business.
“We wish him and the rest of the team all the best for the future,” said Mr Boyd.
Ms Wells, who joins from McQueen Legal, has more than 15 years of experience working in estate agencies. She has introduced a new media package produced by digital content creation company VistaBee.
Boyd Legal rebranded and moved last year into offices in Edinburgh’s Queensferry Street following expansion through the acquisition of Will databases in Coatbridge and Larkhall, and an Edinburgh legal practice.
It added to its portfolio in May when it acquired long-established Kirkcaldy firm, Gibson, Spears, Dow & Son. This business will be renamed Boyd Legal. Partner Peter Aiken will continue to drive the business forward and is supported by the Edinburgh team.
