Recruits for Inverarity Morton

Trio join management team at spirits firm

David TaylorSarah LamontScotland’s largest independent wines and spirits merchant, Inverarity Morton has recruited a finance director, HR manager and trade marketing manager to its management team.

A Chartered Accountant of 21 years, David Taylor, joins as finance director having previously spent 10 years with BMI Healthcare as regional finance director covering 17 private hospitals in the North of England and Scotland with a combined turnover of £250m.

In the newly created role of HR manager is Sarah Lamont who will work with departmental line managers in the implementation of best-practice policies and employee relations, as well as managing all company recruitment.

A graduate from the University of Stirling, Ms Lamont began her HR career in 2004 with NHS Forth Valley, before moving up through the ranks at FirstBus over an eight-year period. She spent one year with Sky in its People Plus team before moving to Inverarity earlier this month.

Marisa ClanceyMaresa Clancy joins as trade marketing manager. She is a marketer with a background in hospitality and events.

Gaining a BA in Marketing with Event Management at the University of Paisley, she began her career as a conference executive with Meeting Makers, before heading up the sales and marketing resource for a fitness centre in Paisley.

Four years later she took on the role of marketing executive for Atlas Hotels, before being appointed to drive the marketing and events strategy for the town’s business improvement district, Paisley First.
