Edgar Stewart boosts board
Board promotion for Zorriasatein
Edinburgh recruitment firm Edgar Stewart has appointed Sara Zorriasatein, who heads up water and energy recruitment spin-out ‘Cyrus’, as director with immediate effect.
Ms Zorriasatein has helped grow turnover from £500,000 to nearly £3 million after launching Cyrus, which is the latest recruitment spin-out to be incubated at the firm’s start-up hub in Stockbridge.
She invested £20k of her own money in the venture – which was quickly matched by the company.
She also took up residency at its business incubator and start-up hub, where she has benefited from support and a financial remuneration package while she developed her new enterprise.
Since then, she has been instrumental in helping the company to increase its turnover by 300%.
Prior to launching Cyrus, Ms Zorriasatein set up Search Consultancy’s energy division and grew the team, which she later led to diversify into renewables, petrochemicals, nuclear and oil and gas before deciding to set up on her own.
Born and brought up in Edinburgh, she spent more than seven years at Hays – initially starting out as a recruiter for the property and construction market before moving on to water and utilities recruitment.
