Steele joins board of cloud firm Iomart

Ian SteeleCorporate finance advisor Ian Steele has been appointed a non-executive director of cloud computing firm Iomart.

He joins as Chris Batterham prepares to step down from the board at the Glasgow company’s forthcoming AGM.

Mr Steele, 59, has more than 35 years’ experience in the corporate finance and corporate advisory sector.

During a 16-year career with Deloitte, he undertook roles within corporate finance and global advisory services.  For the past eight years, he has sat on the UK board of the firm and fulfilled the role of senior partner for Scotland and Northern Ireland. 

He recently joined the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.

He was appointed a non-executive D=director of STV in October 2015 and in January took up a similar role at Killinchy Aerospace Holdings, the principal trading subsidiary of which is Martin-Baker Aircraft Company.
