First units for Glasgow east end park

Rutherglen business parkThe first and largest plot at a new business park has been sold to a developer who will build speculative industrial units.

A division of Harris Finance will invest £2.5 million in 30,000 sq ft of units at Rutherglen Links Business Park, a 12 acre development by urban regeneration company Clyde Gateway.

Harris Finance has a track record in speculative commercial properties as well as refurbishing existing properties.

Ross Harris, speaking on behalf of the developer said: “The East End of Glasgow has been transformed thanks to the work of Clyde Gateway and we are excited at the prospect of encouraging further regeneration and job creation in the area.” 

Established in 2008 following the announcement that Glasgow was to hold the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Clyde Gateway has seen over £1.5 billion invested in the area in the last 8 years from both the public and private sector.
