New morning show voice

Duffus name returns to airwaves on Tay FM

Lynne DuffusLynne Duffus is following the path of her late comedian father by hitting the airwaves this week as the new daytime presenter on Tay FM.

With 20 years of radio broadcasting under her belt, she was introduced to the station by her father.

She had intended to become an actress, studying Theatre Studies and English Literature at Glasgow University, but moved into radio, including a ten year stint at the British Forces Broadcasting Service which allowed her to broadcast from a number of locations ranging from Buckinghamshire to Belize.

She returned to Dundee five years ago and set up an interiors business, ‘Lovely Interiors’ and a shop ‘Lovely Things’, after studying interior design in her spare time.

Commenting on her appointment, Lynne said: “It is so exciting to be back at the station where it all started. I have a huge fondness for Tay FM, as a born and bred Dundonian I grew up listening to the station, so to be presenting my own show is a dream come true.”

John Milne, content director Tay FM said: “On behalf of everyone here at Tay FM we would like to warmly welcome Lynne back to the station. She is a real character who knows both the station and the region really well.”
