Jenkinson steps in as Menzies chairman retires
Iain Napier (far left) is retiring as chairman of logistics company John Menzies after eight years in the post and is reducing his other plc responsibilities. He will step down after the Annual General Meeting on Friday.
Dermot Jenkinson, a non-executive director, will become interim chairman and will run the process to appoint a permanent successor. Mr Jenkinson has significant experience of the John Menzies Group and has held a number of board positions.
Mr Jenkinson said: “The board would like to thank Iain for his considerable contribution to the John Menzies business and Board over the last eight years. He has marshalled us through significant periods of change over his tenure with great skill and experience. We wish him the very best for the future.”
In January the group announced the departure of chief executive Jeremy Stafford.
