Marzio, Oliver and StuartSoftware development consultancy Scott Logic has appointed three developers to its growing workforce.

Marzio Suparina, Stuart Roebuck and Oliver Kenyon have joined the firm, which specialises in solutions for the financial sector, as senior developer, technical architect and lead developer respectively. All three will be based in Edinburgh.

Mr Suparina, a JavaScript specialist from Italy, gave up a career in the theatre, during which he worked as a stage management and lighting designer, to become a software engineer four years ago.

He said: “I got my engineering degree in France 10 years ago, and moved to Scotland for a new experience.”

Mr Roebuck hails from Edinburgh and brings more than 35 years’ industry experience working in biotech, finance and the UK health sector, including particular skills in Scala, open source and functional big data processing.

Mr Kenyon has more than nine years’ commercial experience after graduating from the University of York with a Computer Science degree in 2005.

This latest round of senior appointments highlights Scott Logic’s ongoing and steady growth as it continues to diversify its client portfolio and recruit for software developers at all levels across its four UK offices, as well as testers and user experience (UX) designers to service their needs.

Scott Logic’s head of development in Edinburgh, Murray Crease, commented: “It’s great to welcome another three high-calibre individuals to the team. We are constantly looking to grow our team of talented developers and Stuart, Oliver and Marzio help us do that.”
