Rowell hired to drive growth at Superglass

Ken Munro and Stuart RowellSuperglass, the Scottish manufacturer of glass wool and mineral fibre insulation solutions, has appointed Stuart Rowell as group business development director.

Mr Rowell joins the company from consultancy firm, Positive Momentum, where he specialised in sales transformation. Based at the company’s Stirling headquarters, he will take responsibility for all domestic sales and exports, marketing and commercial strategy.

Ken Munro, chief executive, said: “We are very pleased to have attracted someone with Stuart’s sales and commercial experience to help drive our growth and build our sales and marketing capability. We are sharpening our focus on a number of areas and Stuart’s appointment strengthens our senior team significantly.”

Mr Rowell has more than 25 years’ experience across multiple industries. He has held sales leadership positions at Vodafone and AT&T (UK) and more recently at Positive Momentum, where he was a partner specialising in sales transformation. A graduate of Coventry University, he was born in Newcastle and lives in Edinburgh.

Last month, Superglass made an upbeat trading statement, highlighting positive momentum in financial performance and a number of new contract wins. The company will post its half-year results on 28 April.
