McLean tackles floods in new role

Neil McLeanProfessional services consultancy WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff is working on more sustainable plans to tackle flooding following a senior appointment.

Neil McLean has joined the firm’s water team as an associate and will be based in the firm’s Glasgow office.

Formerly of MWH Global, Mr McLean has extensive experience in managing complex projects involving organisation’s such as the Scottish Government, SEPA, SNH, Scottish Water and local authorities.

He also introduced the new water assessment and drainage assessment guidance for the SuDS working party and led a project that won the integrated habitats design competition against more than 60 other entries.

He is a past chairman of the Scottish Branch of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM), and is now chairman of the Scottish Green Infrastructure Forum.

Other recent recruits include Gerard Kelly, senior engineer in the highways and bridges team, Ryan Tennyson, information manager in management services and Paul Taylor, undergraduate engineer in building services.
