Kane and team in new set-up
Lucid team leave to forge new agency
They say they have secured a number of new contracts which will see them operating internationally in oil and gas, IT, sport and music.
They expect to announce new growth plans later this year and the agency will be focusing on intelligence-based research.
Mr Kane is managing director of System 2 which said on its Twitter account: “The team at Lucid PR now brings you an evolved agency with an intelligence-based ‘secret sauce’. Introducing System2 – Thinking makes it so.”
Clients handled by Lucid included the HebCelt Festival and the Highlands & Islands Tourism Awards.
Shaun Milne, former digital publishing editor at STV, left Lucid earlier this month after a year in charge of the digital operations.
In a statement, System 2 said it is delivering PR, brand strategy and political engagement in a number of countries including the UK, Holland, Norway, USA, Chile and the Middle East.
Mr Kane said the change comes at a perfect time for the team’s aspirations and growing business: “As a team, we have gone far beyond delivering just normal PR. We find ourselves playing a key role in securing multi-million pound contracts with our clients. We are providing research, intelligence, and using applied thinking.”
Also part of the team are John Ross, ex-Highlands and Islands Correspondent for The Scotsman and Scotland on Sunday; and Bob Kass, former Head of Communications, then Head of Key Industries at Highlands and Islands Enterprise.
Mr Kane said: “We are very extremely happy to be announcing that System2 has been engaged by Fjords Processing, a global oil and gas company which has headquarters in Norway, a major testing and development facility in Orkney, as well as offices in Canada and operations around the world. We are working with them to create their brand and PR strategy for Europe, the Middle East and Asia.”
Ingjerd Jensen, Fjord Processing’s Communications Co-ordinator, said: “System2 is absolutely the right team to help us take our sector leading technology and key messages into markets across the world. We’ve been impressed with their news, social media, brand and communications strategies, and we know their work will help us to secure more business.”
