PR agency Smarts rebrands to realign identity

Lesley AlexanderPR agency, Smarts, is rebranding its offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh to Smarts Communicate in a realignment of its identity across its UK operations.

The move follows the opening of a London office by its sister Belfast agency to service its international work.

Lesley Alexander, managing director of Smarts Communicate in Scotland, said: “Smarts Communicate in Belfast and Smarts in Scotland are both part of employee-owned MSQ Partners but have been operating under two different brands.

“Culturally the Irish and Scottish businesses have a strong relationship.  With the addition of London, it makes perfect sense for us to work more closely under one brand in attracting UK, as well as international business.”

Smarts logoThe London operation will be led by managing partner Helen Rainford, previously consumer creative director at Good Relations and formerly associate board director at Cake.

Ms Rainford was the brains behind the award winning B&Q Fifty Shades campaign.

Smarts Communicate’s clients in Scotland include the Scottish Government, Border Biscuits, Terex Trucks, The Great Run Company, Nuffield Health and the property consultancy CBRE.
