Will succeeds McDougall as SIT chairman

James WillThe Scottish Investment Trust (SIT) has appointed James Will as non-executive chairman.

Mr Will was previously a non-executive director and is a former chairman of law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn where he was a senior corporate partner.

He is a non-executive director of Herald Investment Trust and a former council member of CBI Scotland.

Former chairman Douglas McDougall retired from the SIT board at Friday’s AGM.

Mr Will said:  “The board and I would like to thank Douglas for his leadership and contribution to The Scottish Investment Trust as a director and as chairman.

” I look forward to working with the management team and the board to continue to provide a long-term attractive return for shareholders.”
