Transfer deadline day: who is going where?
Rangers have signed forward Michael O’Halloran from St Johnstone for an undisclosed fee. The 25-year-old has been given a four-and-a-half year contract at Ibrox after spending two years with the Perth club.
The Ibrox side a believed to have met St Johnstone’s asking price of £500,000 along with a number of additional clauses which are thought to include added payments for appearances.
The Ibrox side are also expected to complete the signing of young Wolves winger Mehki Leacock-McLeod.
Hearts have signed John Souttar from Dundee United and Scotland midfielder Don Cowie following his release from Wigan. The 32-year-old, formerly with Watford and Cardiff, has agreed a deal until May 2018. Abiola Dauda moves to Tynecastle on loan from Vitesse Arnhem.
David Goodwillie has moved from Aberdeen to Ross County on loan. The Dons have signed Simon Church from the other Dons, MK Dons, on loan.
Motherwell have signed Morgaro Gomis from Hearts who have also agreed to sell Osman Sow to a club in China.
Lee Hodson has moved from MK Dons to Kilmarnock on loan while Gary Dicker has left Kilmarnock for Carlisle.
Partick Thistle have signed former Gillingham forward Antonio German until the end of the season while Chris Duggan leaves the club for Queen’s Park. Aidan Nesbitt moves to Partick on loan from Celtic.
Former Hibernian skipper Rob Jones has left Doncaster Rovers by mutual consent. The 36-year-old defender, who was also a coach with Doncaster’s development side, moved to Rovers from Sheffield Wednesday in 2012.
In England, deals concluded during the transfer window are expected to take spending over the season beyond £1 billion.
Newcastle United have signed Ivory Coast international striker Seydou Doumbia on loan for the rest of the season from Roma. Newcastle winger Florian Thauvin has returned to Marseille on loan until the end of the season. The French club has also signed Sunderland and Scotland forward Steven Fletcher.
Porto midfielder Gianelli Imbula has moved to Stoke on an £18.3m on a five-and-a-half-year contract. in what is the Potteries club’s biggest outlay.
Leicester City defender Richie de Laet is joining Middlesbrough on loan until the end of the season.
