Halliday and Mackay get call-up for TenTel

Daniel HallidayChallenger telecoms company TenTel has announced two senior appointments as the business gears up for rapid expansion in 2016.

Daniel Halliday (pictured), who has been with TenTel since 2014, has been promoted to finance director, while Scott Mackay has joined as customer director. These appointments complete the company’s senior management team and take the payroll from three to more than 50 employees in under two years.

TenTel specialises in no-contract and short-term contract telephone and broadband services. It recently moved to new premises in the Edinburgh area, creating 40 jobs as it increases its customers by more than 1,000 a month.

Mr Halliday joined TenTel as its third employee in April 2014 and has been instrumental in securing more than £2 million in start-up investment. His new remit includes IT and software development, data and reporting, and acquisitions.

Prior to working at TenTel, he began his career with KPMG, training as a chartered accountant.

Mr Mackay was previously group marketing services manager at the Glasgow Housing Association.
