Four hires bolster team at Cornerstone

Cornerstone 2Independent financial advisory firm, Cornerstone Asset Management, has announced four appointments in its Edinburgh office.

Alan Reid, joins Cornerstone’s senior management team with a focus on business development for both corporate and private clients.

Mr Reid has held key director positions in the financial services industry including C.E Heath (Scotland), formerly Collins Halden (Scotland) and Balmoral Asset Management, where he played a major role in helping grow the business over the past decade.

Suzanne Reid becomes operations director and joins the firm from Turcan Connell Asset Management where she was responsible for a team of up to 20 staff. Her career has included roles with Watson Wyatt Partners, Origen and Scottish Equitable.

Scott Snedden joins as a chartered financial planner from Balmoral Asset Management. He has worked with Aegon Scottish Equitable as a senior business analyst in the pensions department.

Louise Melville becomes a personal assistant to the management team. Louise has a long standing relationship with Alan Reid having worked with him for over 20 years and joins Cornerstone following a short sabbatical from the industry.

Commenting on the appointments, Laurie Dempster, one of Cornerstone’s founding partners, said: “These appointments underline Cornerstone’s commitment to further growing our corporate and private client business.”
