Clark to take hot seat at Kilmarnock

Lee ClarkFormer Newcastle United midfielder Lee Clark will be named the new manager of Scottish Premiership club Kilmarnock.

He will be unveiled as successor to Gary Locke who resigned after the home match against Hamilton Academical on 30 January.

Clark, 43, has been out of work since leaving Blackpool as manager after their relegation from the Championship.

He also managed Huddersfield Town and Birmingham City and his playing career included Sunderland and Fulham.

Kilmarnock won at Motherwell on Saturday to move out of the Premiership’s bottom two.

Lee McCulloch, who has been in temporary charge at Rugby Park for the last two matches, is expected to stay on as assistant manager to Clark.

Clark’s first game in charge will be the Scottish Cup replay with Rangers on Tuesday evening.
