Beattie adds digital to hotels PR account

David ReidCommunications group Beattie has added digital marketing services to the PR work it is providing to Redefine|BDL Hotels after winning a competitive tender process.

Redefine|BDL Hotels manages 63 hotels across the UK, partnering with six international hotel brands, including Accor, Best Western, Hilton Worldwide, IHG, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.

Beattie’s Only Digital team will work on search engine optimisation, content strategy, social media, analytics and web design and development.

The firm has kicked off 2016 by rebranding its digital marketing business from Only Web to Only Digital to reflect its expanding range of services.

It operates from eight offices across the UK including London, Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow with more than 30% of its output for international clients.

David Reid (pictured), director of Only Digital, said: “We operate in eight languages, including Spanish, Mandarin and French.

“Our international billings will continue to grow but we see no need to open international offices at the present time.

“The UK is at the forefront of digital marketing. We can match New York punch for punch when it comes to digital innovation and our digital marketers can be rightly proud of what we are achieving.

“We are sometimes seen as the poor cousins of American agencies. It’s not an accurate view.”
