Border Biscuits secures funding for expansion

Border Biscuits Scottish foodBorder Biscuits is adding a production line to its manufacturing facility in Lanark as part of plans to grow its share of the marketplace south of the Border.

Founded in 1984, with just four varieties, Border Biscuits now produces more than 24 types of biscuit and supplies Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s.

It also supplies wholesale and food service businesses as well as independent retailers across the UK. It generated a turnover in excess of £14.5 million in its last financial year.

The expansion has been funded via a seven figure deal with Clydesdale Bank.
