Personalised shopping app Mallzee, whose head office is in Edinburgh, was ranked second behind Amazon on a user list over the two days before Christmas.

It came ahead of global giant ebay, H&M, Wish and Argos.

Mallzee lists clothes, shoes and accessories from a wide range of retailers, including the entire product range from more than 150 leading chains such as Asda, Riess, Topshop and Whistles.

Dubbed the Tinder for fashion, as it uses the same swiping technology as the dating app, the Mallzee team based in new offices off West Port, have also released new data identifying which items of clothing males and females liked most for each month throughout 2015.

Men are consistently most interested in trainers whereas female choices have been far more weather and event dependent items.
