Evans joins cast list at EICC ceremony

Chris Evans BBCRadio and television personality Chris Evans was a surprise guest at an awards ceremony in Edinburgh last night at which Skyscanner was the big winner.

The BBC Radio Two breakfast show host and new presenter of Top Gear, joined comedian Rob Brydon and actor George Clooney at the Scottish Business Awards held at the EICC and attended by 1,500 guests.

Edinburgh-based flight comparison company, Skyscanner,  which has expanded globally into a $1 billion company, was named company of the year.

The judging panel included technology guru Chris van der Kuyl, People’s Postcode Lottery UK managing director Jo Bucci and BBC Dragons’ Den investor Shaf Rasul.

Olympic gold-medallist Sir Chris Hoy also attended.
