Dentist raises bank support for first practice

Fraser CallaghanEdinburgh dentist Fraser Callaghan has raised bank finance to invest in his first practice.

Mr Callaghan manages a team of seven dental professionals at the Brite Dental clinic, formerly The ToothBox dental clinic, in Gilmerton, Edinburgh.

On average the practice is registering 60 new NHS patients per month, compared to four before the re-launch.

With a £578,000 loan from Bank of Scotland Mr Callaghan acquired the practice through the Brite Dental Model, created by a team of dentists and dental care professionals to help those looking to invest in their first premises.

Brian Bovell, business development manager for Bank of Scotland in Edinburgh, said: “As a business, we’re always keen to nurture talent and support young professionals as they embark on first time enterprises.”

The Brite Dental team support Mr Callaghan by coordinating core synergies of marketing, branding, software and treatment support, allowing Fraser to concentrate on driving excellent patient care and continuing to develop his skills and expertise.
