Optical chain to invest in technology
Past and future celebrated at Black & Lizars
Geraldine Wood, managing director since April, said the company would be investing in technology, including an app that would enable customers of the 25-branch chain to inspect their optical records and check appointments.
Ms Wood said the company would strive to be at the forefront of technological change. Black & Lizars was the first opticians chain in Scotland to install the eye testing equipment developed by Dunfermline-based healthcare company Optos.
“Today is about celebrating our heritage but also about looking to the future,” she said.
