Inverness micro-brewery gets council approval

Inverness breweryA micro-brewery and visitor attraction for Inverness has been given the go-ahead after initial reservations held up the plan.

Highland councillors backed a revised plan for the facility at the Glen Mhor Hotel on the city’s riverside after the owners were initially refused permission last October.

Applicants Jon and Victoria Erasmus have addressed concerns, including car parking.

Designed by Colin Armstrong Associates, building work should begin towards the second half of next year.

Mr Erasmus said: “We are delighted the project has been given approval and we thank the councillors for their support as well as members of the public and business community who have backed the plan.”
