'Banned' duo to face Australia

Ford and Gray in line-up for quarter-final

Ross Ford and Jonny Gray have been selected for the starting line-up in the Scotland team to face Australia in the World Cup quarter final.

The pair had their three-week suspension overturned yesterday following an appeal from Scottish Rugby.

They had been banned for an alleged illegal tackle on Samoan flanker Jack Lam, although the referee later said he saw nothing wrong at the time.  Scotland defeated the Samoans 36-33 to book their place in the last eight.

The winners will play Argentina after the South Americans secured a convincing 43-20 victory over Ireland.

Today’s line-up is:
