Stig flies in for Ingliston’s big race weekend

The StigRacing returned to Ingliston last weekend, featuring a driver best known for his helmet and for saying nothing.

Ben Collins (above), formerly known as The Stig, swapped the all-white racing tunic for black tie attire for a dinner organised before the event.

He was among the guests at the venue where the old racetrack was brought back to life.

The event, organised by Sandy Bloomer, featured a mix of classic and modern cars and The Stig arrived in spectacular style by helicopter.

Lee McKenzieLee McKenzie (right), the BBC’s Formula One pitlane reporter, was also on hand to introduce speeches through the evening.

These included an opening presentation from Mr Bloomer and Doug Niven, the cousin of the late Jim Clark.
