Scots recover to beat US and hold top spot

Scotland rugbyScotland held on to top spot in their pool after coming from behind to secure a 39-16 victory over the United States at Elland Road.

The Scots made a slow start and were trailing 6-13 at half-time before a storming second half, finishing the match with five tries.

There were nine changes to the team that beat Japan in Wednesday’s opener and will be concerned about flyhalf Finn Russell who twisted his ankle and had to be helped from the field.
