Beattie signs Richardson to lead creative fashion team

Carol RichardsonBeattie, the creative communications group, has signed one of the most established names in consumer PR as its director of fashion communications.

Carol Richardson (left) has held senior roles at luxury fashion brands such as Jaeger, the Jacques Vert Group and at Marks & Spencer and was course leader at the prestigious London College of Fashion.

She will lead the creative fashion teams at Beattie Communications and its specialist marketing boutique Only Retail.

Laurna Woods, group managing director, said: “Fashion is a significant revenue generator for the Beattie and Only brands.

“We were keen to recruit a respected leader to spearhead our growth and they don’t come much bigger than Carol Richardson.

“She is one of the best connected figures in the retail sector. We worked with Carol when she was with M&S so we know how effective she is at building brands and driving commercial success.”

Ms Richardson said: “I have always admired the hard work and creativity of Beattie’s fashion teams and I am now delighted to be part of this ambitious and growing agency.”

She will work with fashion PR clients in London, Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow.

Brands represented by Beattie and Only include French fashion label La Redoute, Specsavers, Arran Aromatics, Avon, Edinburgh Woollen Mill, jewellery chain Warren James and Tangerine Confectionery.
