New firm making progress
IME enjoys summer of city deals
Edinburgh-based IME Property has beaten its expectations on the back of a generally buoyant market. Since the company was relaunched with a commercial property focus in February it has made a significant inroad into the sector.
Deals include a guest house in Gilmore Place, a former restaurant in Dundas Street and retail units in Bread Street and Mayfield Road.
It was involved in a structuring a deal in which the leasehold interests at 33 Morningside Road were assigned to the bedroom furniture specialist Sharps for its first outlet in the city.
Another notable contract was completed in Argyle Place, where a rent of £14,500 per annum was agreed on a new 10-year lease with business start-up Deadly Donuts.
Managing director Iain Mercer is delighted with progress. “IME is proving itself to be a versatile operator in the market, transacting a range of properties across the Edinburgh area,” he said.
