Company invites feedback from customers

Run Skyscanner for a day – and earn yourself £2,500

Gareth WilliamsEdinburgh flight comparison firm Skyscanner is offering someone £2,500 to run the company for a day – if they are willing to offer their views on how the company should develop.

Founder and chief executive Gareth Williams is welcoming new ideas for the 12-year-old firm, already worth $1 billion.

Whoever is selected will be asked for insight into how its flights, hotels and car hire comparison sites work and whether the company could do better. Entrants simply have to say in 50 words why they should be chosen.

Skyscanner has developed into a global business attracting 40 million users a month and recently signing in deals in China and with Yahoo! Japan.

Spokeswoman Mary Porter said: “We always say our customers are at the heart of our business, and this is our chance to prove it by bringing in one of them to take over as boss, providing us with the ultimate in user feedback. It’s a very exciting opportunity.”
