New venue for food and craft sellers
Leith market sets out its stall
It was the first day of the Leith Market today and Daily Business was there to mark the occasion. The stallholders in Dock Place are the latest to join Edinburgh’s thriving local market scene.
Grassmarket and Stockbridge already have regular markets, as does Castle Terrace which hosts the popular Farmers’ Market.
Some of those in Leith were familiar to other markets, while others were making their first appearance. Among the sellers were bakers, pie-makers, artists and jewellers.
For the record, our man bought some fish, a pie and some lemon marshmallows. Worth a visit if you are in the area. Saturdays from 10am.
