Ex-MP on lookout for job
Moore seeking shelter in business role
He stopped by to say he was currently mulling over his next move, which he said was “likely to be something in business”.
Mr Moore, who served as Scottish Secretary in the coalition from 2010 to 2013, said: “I’ve done with politics. I’ve decided that 18 years is enough.”
He revealed nothing about his plans, although as a qualified chartered accountant he could always try his hand at book-keeping. His public service days may not be entirely over as he said he would like to stay involved in public policy.
Mr Moore was a member of the Smith Commission and he has also worked as European business adviser to Nick Clegg.
