Games firm moves into West Regent St
FanDuel takes space in flagship Glasgow block
The six-year-old Edinburgh company, which sponsored Floyd Mayweather in the “Fight of the Century” is leasing 8,450 sq ft on the fifth floor of the West Regent Street office building in the city centre.
The company has 230 staff split between the UK and the US, including 40 new recruits in Orlando following a recent acquisition, and 83 in Edinburgh. It announced plans to open a Glasgow office at the turn of the year.
Nigel Eccles, chief executive of Fanduel, said: “We have worked hard to create a culture that inspires great work and promotes a healthy work-life balance and 2 West Regent Street will enable us to do just that in a fast-paced, non-corporate environment.”
Shepherd Chartered Surveyors handled the deal for FanDuel. Steve Barnett, managing partner, said the location offered “exceptional connectivity” with the firm’s existing Edinburgh office.
Shepherd has negotiated a ten-year lease, with a break option at the fifth year, at a headline rent of £23 per sq ft with landlord KW West Regent Street.
